When VIV Europe opens its doors in Utrecht, the Netherlands, from 2 to 4 June, it won’t just be a trio from LANDMECO at the trade fair. On the contrary, CEO Anders Kristian Andersen expects between five and ten employees to visit the stand over the course of the three days.

For him, this underlines just how important the trade fair is for LANDMECO.

“It is one of the largest and most important trade fairs in the poultry sector, and at the same time it has a very international flavour. That is why it is extremely important for us to be present and visible,” says Anders Kristian Andersen.

He makes it a priority to be present all three days to meet existing customers, partners and new contacts from all over the world.

According to him, VIV Europe is one of the places where large parts of the international industry gather in just a few days.

“We will receive visitors from, among others, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, the USA, Canada, Poland, Moldova, Ireland and several South American and European countries. In many ways, the industry is like a small family, even though it is spread across the globe, and many use VIV as a meeting place,” he says.

He also points out that the trade fair offers an opportunity both to strengthen relationships with existing customers and to gain valuable insights into the market and competitors.

“It’s about seeing what new products competitors have to offer and what’s happening in the industry in general. That makes the trade fair important for all players,” says Anders Kristian Andersen.

In addition to Anders Kristian Andersen, LANDMECO will be represented by, among others, Regional Sales Director Alex Dybdal, Poultry Specialist Tommy H. Krogh and Regional Sales Director Dennis Møbjerg.

Furthermore, LANDMECO’s Polish sales manager will be travelling to Utrecht alongside customers and dealers from countries including Ukraine and Moldova.

For Anders Kristian Andersen, attending the fair is more than just manning a stand.

“It’s about relationships, visibility and having a presence in the market. Many markets are growing now, which is why it’s also important that we meet customers face to face.”

He also points out that several international customers are combining the trade fair with a company visit to LANDMECO in Denmark.

“This week, we have visitors from Australia and New Zealand, among others, who are also visiting us in connection with the trade fair. This really highlights just how international the industry is.”

VIV Europe in Utrecht is considered one of the most important international meeting places for the poultry industry.

Last time, around 20,000 visitors from 136 countries attended the fair, where nearly 600 exhibitors took part, and from this year onwards, the fair will be held every two years.
