South Africa, Souvereign Foods test: THE FCR & PEF numbers are still substantially better in the house using the LANDMECO pan

In February 2013 LANDMECO made cooperation with Sovereign Foods, which is the fourth biggest chicken producer in South Africa.

At the farm Wincanton, where 12 identical houses were built at the same time, we changed a competitor’s newer equipment with LANDMECOs equipment in one of the houses to test the effectiveness of LANDMECOs pan. At the farm everything is identical; Management, chicks, feed, etc. the only difference is the pan feeding system. In June 2013, we had data from the first two cycles, and they were absolutely fantastic. FCR in the house with LANDMECOs pan was in 1.556 where the house with a competing pan had an FCR of 1.641.

After two years operation, we followed up on the test, to ensure that the success of LANDMECOs pan lasts. And it does, of course. The average FCR in the last 5 cycles lies at 1.596 with LANDMECOs pan, and at 1.672 in the remaining 11 houses with a competing European pan. At the same time PEF is significantly higher in the house with LANDMECOs pan (323 to 301).

There IS no doubt. LANDMECOs pan feeding system gives better results.
