LANDMECO doubles turnover in 2025: ‘It exceeds our wildest expectations’

2025 was a record year for LANDMECO. While Scandinavia’s leading manufacturer of equipment for the poultry industry recorded 60 per cent growth in turnover in 2024, the curve has risen even steeper this year. In fact, so much so that turnover has more than doubled compared to last year.

‘We had hoped for growth of 40-50 per cent and would have been really happy with that. The fact that we have now doubled our turnover exceeds our wildest expectations,’ says CEO Anders Kristian Andersen.

Market trend and strategic focus

According to the CEO, the explanation can be found in a combination of favourable market conditions and sharp focus. The poultry segment has experienced significant growth, driven in part by consumer demand for cheaper and more climate-friendly protein sources such as chicken and eggs.

‘The green agenda, lower prices and easier availability also play a role. And we are seeing more farmers switching to new types of production – where poultry is gaining ground,’ he says.

LANDMECO has also focused on a number of growth markets, with the United States in particular exceeding expectations.

‘We hit a segment in the North American market, and it has really paid off. We have seen more and more people converting their production, and the solutions we offer have proven to be a good fit,’ says Anders Kristian Andersen.

More employees – and more space

The growth has required more hands on deck. In 2024, LANDMECO hired more than 20 new employees, and this trend has accelerated in 2025. By the end of the year, the workforce had grown by 35-40 people, so that there are now just over 100 employees worldwide.

‘Both the temp agencies ATN and JKS, as well as one of our most important partners, JVR Consult, have helped us a lot in their respective areas to find employees with the right skills,’ says the director.

The larger organisation has also required more space. Therefore, in 2025, LANDMECO expanded by 1,100 square metres in Ølgod, rented additional buildings in the town, where administrative staff and a showroom are located, and added 4,000 square metres of warehouse space in Herning.

Ambitions and starting point for 2026

Although the wild growth rates are unlikely to continue, Anders Kristian Andersen still sees potential in a growing poultry market. The goal for 2026 is more moderate growth of 10-15 per cent and a broader market profile.

‘One of our main focuses will be on how we can spread our risk a little more, and this will be achieved, among other things, by being active and more visible in several markets,’ he says, concluding:

“2025 has been an exciting journey, and I would like to express my sincere thanks to all our employees. We have worked hard, and it is impressive to see how everyone has contributed to making it all a success.”
