A Warm Welcome to Birgit
We are excited to introduce Birgit, a key member of the Landmeco team. Based in Bryndum, just north of Esbjerg, Birgit brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. With two children, Niklas (21) and Ditte (19), now at the brink of independence, she is focused on driving growth and innovation within Landmeco.
Why Landmeco?
After a 4.5-year break, Birgit was headhunted back to Landmeco, drawn to the exciting growth and innovation the company is experiencing. “I enjoy staying busy, and Landmeco offers the kind of environment where I can thrive,” she shares.
Birgit’s Journey
Birgit’s career spans over 25 years in export, logistics, customer service, sales, and language roles, primarily within manufacturing companies. With a background as a freight forwarder and a business language bachelor’s degree in English and Spanish, Birgit’s expertise equips her well for her role at Landmeco.
Learning from the Past
One valuable lesson from her previous roles is the importance of structure and efficiency. “I’ve worked a lot with administration and coordination, which has taught me how to work in a structured way. Juggling many tasks has shown me how to simplify and make processes smarter. I’m not a fan of doing things the ‘old way’ and love challenging the status quo,” Birgit explains.
Looking Ahead at Landmeco
In her first few months, Birgit’s priority is to support her colleague in Spain with creating offers for Spain, Portugal, France, and Saudi Arabia. “I aim to add structure to our workflows in close collaboration with my colleagues,” she says.
Birgit believes that her role will help improve efficiency and structure, especially in the offer process, enabling Landmeco to keep pace with its growing demand. “I hope to implement streamlined processes that will make everything move faster as Landmeco continues to expand,” she adds.
Exciting Future at Landmeco
Birgit is thrilled about Landmeco’s future, especially with its growth and innovation. “The journey ahead, along with new colleagues joining the team, is something I’m truly excited about,” she shares.
A Passion for Golf, Hiking, and Local Sports
Outside of her professional life, Birgit has several hobbies she enjoys. She loves playing golf, often playing outdoors during the summer and enjoying indoor simulator golf during winter. “Collecting mushrooms in the forest during the fall is very relaxing for me,” she says. Birgit also enjoys hiking to connect with nature and stay active.
Birgit is a fan of local sports, regularly attending Blue Water Arena to cheer for EFB’s home games and sometimes supporting Team Esbjerg at Dokken in Esbjerg. “In the winter months, I also participate in Wordfeud tournaments—I’m probably a bit of a language nerd!” she laughs.
We are thrilled to have Birgit on board and look forward to the valuable contributions she will make in her role. Her experience, innovative mindset, and dedication will be instrumental as we continue to drive growth and success at Landmeco.
