Xtra was developed to create more system area in less. This targeted development resulted in a narrow tier system with as much as 4.70 square meters of system area per linear meter. A system that truly optimizes square meters in the houses efficiently.
EXTRA SPACE IN THE NEST
The unique design of LANDMECO’s nest, where the egg belt is located directly under the nest, provides approximately 25% more nesting area compared to similar nests. The design offers a nest depth of 2 x 56.5 cm (total nest width of 114 cm). Thus, there is extra space for the hens, both in depth and height. The additional space is a significant advantage, as the hens start laying eggs almost simultaneously every day.
Extra Gentle Treatment of Eggs
LANDMECO’s nest is developed with special focus on minimizing all potential impacts, from when an egg leaves the hen until it reaches the packing station. All contact points have been thoroughly tested using an electronic egg that measures the force of impacts, and the system’s solutions have been fine-tuned repeatedly until the impacts were eliminated/minimized.
