Henrik was headhunted in 2022 and helped make LANDMECO known in the USA and Canada: There is more on the way

In 2022, Henrik Blæsbjerg, regional sales director, was headhunted by LANDMECO. The appointment was one of LANDMECO’s ways of putting more focus and speed on the development of the markets in the USA and Canada.

With more than 20 years of experience in the poultry industry in the USA and Canada in particular, Henrik Blæsbjerg had plenty of good experience in his luggage for the new job.

In Canada, the already established market had to be further developed, while in the southern part of the USA a network of dealers had to be built up for the sale of the pan feeding systems with feed for chickens, which LANDMECO has among other things in its product portfolio.

“When I started, no one in the US knew what LANDMECO was. Therefore, we have participated in a large number of trade fairs, visited dealers and customers. And we have done that continuously, and it has paid off. Today, I would claim that everyone in the poultry industry in the USA and Canada knows about LANDMECO,” says Henrik Blæsbjerg.

In 2023, the regional sales director had about 130 travel days, and 100 of them were to the US and Canada.

“From the beginning, the goal has been to gain a foothold in the United States, and I think we have actually achieved that,” he says.

With such large markets as the USA and Canada, the plan is to accelerate even more, and this must be done with the persistence and presence that are the alpha and omega for creating development.

“We are currently in the process of finding the right seller in the USA, and it must be someone who knows the American version of the industry and has a network within poultry,” says Henrik Blæsbjerg, who continues:

“When the new seller is found, we have a good starting point. The feed pans we offer from LANDMECO largely meet the wishes or requirements consumers have when it comes to ecology, environmental sustainability and animal welfare.”
