Organic Egg-Laying Barns Inaugurated at Gasbjerg Farm – Capacity: 36,000 Hens

On Friday, October 2nd, Peder Gasbjerg and his wife Bente hosted a private reception to celebrate the inauguration of their two new organic egg-laying barns. Constructed as connected arched halls, each barn has a capacity of 6 sections, housing 3,000 hens per section, bringing the total capacity to 36,000 organic hens.

LANDMECO provided the barns with their advanced Combo floor systems, Lubing slat belts, and Staalkat packing machines. The arched halls were built by Future Rundbuehaller, and the hens were supplied by breeder Jørgen Lodberg.

During the event, Peder proudly guided his guests around the impressive setup. The highlight of the day came when Peder opened the gates, allowing the hens to rush out into the lush green areas—an unforgettable sight resembling a large white wave flowing towards the trees.
