LANDMECO’s New Rearing Tier System with Manure Belts Delivers Impressive Results in Denmark

LANDMECO’s innovative tier system for rearing with integrated manure belts has been fully installed at Jørgen Lodberg’s facility in Denmark, marking the first system of its kind in the country. The house, with a capacity for 18,500 animals, has already delivered remarkable results. At 17 weeks, the animals are on average 160 grams heavier than usual, with stronger legs and wings, attributed to the system’s enhanced opportunities for free movement.

Jørgen Lodberg, who rears approximately 200,000 organic hens annually, is very satisfied with the calm and well-adjusted animals. He already operates LANDMECO’s tier system without manure belts in four other houses with a combined capacity of 70,000 animals.

Additionally, Vallø Stift Landbrug began using the new rearing system for 12,000 organic hens, contributing to their transition to organic egg production. The next phase of their project includes a new laying house using LANDMECO’s Combo tier system, scheduled for completion by mid-February.

LANDMECO first installed this system at Kanakumppanit Oy in Finland, where it received glowing feedback. The system has proven easy to manage and ensures smooth catching processes, adding to its growing success across multiple locations.
